Peaceful Love

It took me a long time to understand that love brings peace. It is not always an intense red passion, not butterflies in the stomach, nor something that needs constant intensity to exist.

Sometimes love is shared silence and quiet presence. A gentle and reassuring touch. The feeling of being at home without needing explanations, of finally being able to lower our guard.

Perhaps this is what love truly is, finding someone with whom peace becomes possible.
