This one is for those who deeply respect themselves and put their inner voice first.
The world is full of “noise” disguised as advice. I’m not saying that advice comes from bad intentions, I really don’t believe that is the case. But the answers are within us, if we choose to listen. And it’s important to reflect on why we seek outside the answers we already carry within. Fear? Insecurity? Avoiding responsibility? Whatever it may be, it’s worth realizing that others live their own reality, shaped by their fears, insecurities, traumas, etc and their advice will always carry that weight.
I’m not a fundamentalist, nor will I claim that one should never ask for advice, because that would be hypocritical of me. But I’m becoming increasingly aware that no one knows me better than I know myself. And that asking advice from someone who lives life with values and ambitions different from mine may not be the wisest choice. Food for thought?
